A message from a friend…

(This is something my friend David wrote before he passed away. It made me consider what is really important to me and if I am doing more of that than what isn’t. Every word below is exactly as he had written. Even the comment about editing. These are things I want to remember…)

David Kulig’s Honor Code, Value System, and Way of Life

List 10 things that are important in order from most important to least important.

(Christianity, Family, Work, Friends, Communication)(Magic, Pool, Chess, Guitar, Driving)

Honor Code

1. If you are spending time doing something that is not on the life facets list, then figure out a way to change the activity or leave to spend time doing something that is.

2. If you can do multiple things on the list at the same time then do so.

3. If you find that you are filling whole days with these facets, then you are living a better life.

4. If boredom sets in or a feeling of anxiousness fills you, then try doing something on the list that you haven’t done in a while.

5. Try to stay at a life facet long enough that is feels like work. These life facets should be difficult; this is how we improve.

6. The first 5 life facets are bare necessities.

7. The second five life facets are icing on the cake.Try to life a full life. A full life that is filled with these ten things.

David Kulig’s Value System and way of life

The first 5 things are life essentials, while the last 5 are icing on the cake. I must learn these things well without wasting time on things I haven’t started learning already. Learning new subjects would only diminish the time I spend on the outlined things that I would like to perfect.

Doing more than one thing at a time is good. For instance, driving with a friend and communicating about Christianity should be seen as a wonderful and productive time.

When boredom sets in it might be time to rotate into something else that is on the list. My learning curve is better when I am not bored.

Although the first 5 subjects are more important than the second 5, I must focus on Magic, Pool, Chess, and Guitar because they are the backbone of my business. These things are now considered work, which is the third subject in the first 5.

What are your 5 things? Does your list start something like mine? Maybe you have something that used to rival studying for school? What are you for real at? What do you wish you were for real at? Do you have to pick and choose to make it only 10 things? If not, then how many things DO you have? These things are a gifts from God if used properly. How do you want to spend the rest of your life and what do you want to do while you’re here on Earth? Have you given up on special childhood dreams? What did you want to be as a child? Are any of these childhood dreams possible still?

There’s always room for improvement. PACE YOURSELF!

This is a living document which means I have greatly revised and edited it and will continue to do so. Please consider doing this exercise for yourself and spreading the word to whomever you choose.

About katgurl328

I love to read paranormal romance books of course. I love when people suggest a book. I mainly read series books due to the fact that I love reading the other character's stories.
